Omarunui Landfill Gas

Pioneer has a proud record of delivering successful projects in partnership with councils throughout New Zealand and this partnership helped the Hastings District Council mitigate risk with the development at Omarunui.

The Omarunui landfill gas project aligns with one of the Hasting District Council's strategic objectives which requires them to meet the current and future needs of communities for good quality local infrastructure, local public services, and performance of regulatory functions in a way that is most cost–effective for households and businesses.

Engine Specification:

Waukesha Model VHP L5794LT Turbocharged and Intercooled twelve cylinder, lean combustion four cycle gas engine. Piston displacement 95 litres.

Generation Capacity:

900 kWe continuous, circa 7GWh per annum
